The 4-hour shutoff feature is standard across our mamaRoo products. In the MamaRoo Sleep Bassinet, it is a feature that helps to begin the transition from bassinet to crib. Most newborns will fall asleep within a 4-hour timeframe and will not feel the motion stop. You can easily turn the motion back on via the 4moms app or on the unit itself.

It can be used throughout the day or when parents need a hands-free moment. The mamaRoo infant seat is not intended for extended or overnight sleep since it is neither a flat surface (there is always a slight recline) or a firm surface as recommended by pediatricians. If your baby falls asleep in the mamaRoo infant seat and you’re not able to provide the required supervision, we recommend moving the baby to a separate approved sleep surface. The four long screws present in the underside of the bassinet are there to secure the cardboard, and protect the unit, while in transit. When initially assembling the bassinet, make sure to remove and discard both the cardboard and all four screws. Leaving the screws in place will result in the product not working properly. The bassinet will attempt to move and then stop; additionally, the screen will flash, and the speed 1 LED light will remain on. Ensure the customer has removed the cardboard & 4 screws from the underside of the bassinet. If these are still in place, the unit will not operate. If they are still experiencing issues, please contact Alisha (agee@4moms.com) for troubleshooting & warranty support. 

The MamaRoo Sleep Bassinet contains an internal fan that may continue to run for up to 20 minutes after the motion stops. Do not unplug the power cord while the fan is running.

The sleep surface is 100% cotton and the underside is 100% polyester. 

Machine wash with similar coloured laundry in cold water with a mild detergent. Never use bleach. Tumble dry on a low heat setting and remove promptly. 

The MamaRoo 4 is is 25.5" L x 19.5" W x 33" H and weighs 8.6kg

You should be able to find the model number underside of the base.

Make sure to check if there is something obstructing the unit (e.g. puzzle piece, a penny, etc.). If there is an obstruction, remove it safely and then press play. If that does not work, do not open the base (negates the warranty). Contact 4moms Australia customer service to start your warranty claim.

Try plugging your MamaRoo 4 into a different outlet. This error might be the result of using the unit with a baby over the 11.3kg weight limit or if the baby is able to sit unaided. If so, stop use immediately.

The built-in sounds will not play when the MP3 cord is plugged into your device, so make sure the cord is unplugged. If that does not fix the issue, make sure that the volume is not muted.

Please make sure you are using the original 4moms labelled power cord that come with the MamaRoo4. Using other power cords will allow the unit to power on and play music, but the seat will not move and display an error message. If you do not have the original power cord, a replacement can be purchased.

Try adjusting the volume on the unit. Also, make sure the MP3 cord is plugged in completely on both ends.

The sparks that you are noticing when plugging the MamaRoo4 into a wall outlet or connecting the power cord into the base of the seat are normal.

If you notice continuous sparking or smoke at anytime you should contact a certified electrician immediately to have your house and wall outlet inspected.

First, remove the seat from the MamaRoo 4 base (click here for disassembly instructions). Once disassembled, use a sink or other basin and allow the straps to dangle from the central rail into soapy water.

Do NOT immerse the central rail into the water. Once clean, rinse and let it dry before reassembling the unit.

The seat fabrics (plush, classic and cool mesh) and the newborn insert are machine washable. It is recommended to wash them in cold water and the gentle cycle. Do not use bleach. Tumble dry separately on low heat and remove promptly from dryer.

First disassemble your MamaRoo 4 (click here for disassembling video). Once repackaged, store in a dry temperature-controlled area of your home.

Model 1026: Hold down the motion button for 3 seconds to turn the screen off.

Model 1037: Press the power button to the left of the LCD screen.

Models 1026 and 1037: The toy bar installs by inserting at a 90 degree angle, to the left or right of the seat and rotating into place.

 Model 4M-005 (2012-2014): The toy bar installs by inserting backwards and rotating it into place.

Model 4M-005 (2010-2011): They toy bar is designed to be loose-fitting for safety reasons (so it can't be used as a handle).

The power supply for the MamaRoo will work between 100 and 240 VAC (or between 50 and 60 Hz).
