Yes. The firm mattress provides a safe, flat sleep surface that follows the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Safe Sleep recommendations.

Press and hold any of the five motion icons for 5 seconds. Motion icon will flash when the screen is locked. To unlock, press and hold the same motion icon again for 5 seconds. 

The 4-hour shutoff feature is standard across our mamaRoo products. In the MamaRoo Sleep Bassinet, it is a feature that helps to begin the transition from bassinet to crib. Most newborns will fall asleep within a 4-hour timeframe and will not feel the motion stop. You can easily turn the motion back on via the 4moms app or on the unit itself.

While both feature 5 unique motions that bounce up and down and sway from side to side, just like parents do, the mamaRoo sleep bassinet and the mamaRoo infant seat have different uses to provide baby the comfort or entertainment they need. The mamaRoo sleep bassinet features a firm, flat sleep surface that is designed to help your baby fall asleep and stay asleep longer. It can be used for both overnight sleep and naps throughout the day. The mamaRoo infant seat is designed to comfort, soothe, and entertain your baby. It can be used throughout the day or when parents need a hands-free moment. The mamaRoo infant seat is not intended for extended or overnight sleep since it is neither a flat surface (there is always a slight recline) or a firm surface as recommended by pediatricians. If your baby falls asleep in the mamaRoo infant seat and you’re not able to provide the required supervision, we recommend moving the baby to a separate approved sleep surface. The four long screws present in the underside of the bassinet are there to secure the cardboard, and protect the unit, while in transit. When initially assembling the bassinet, make sure to remove and discard both the cardboard and all four screws. Leaving the screws in place will result in the product not working properly. The bassinet will attempt to move and then stop; additionally, the screen will flash, and the speed 1 LED light will remain on. The MamaRoo Sleep Bassinet contains an internal fan that may continue to run for up to 20 minutes after the motion stops. Do not unplug the power cord while the fan is running.

The sleep surface is 100% cotton and the underside is 100% polyester. 

Machine wash with similar coloured laundry in cold water with a mild detergent. Never use bleach. Tumble dry on a low heat setting and remove promptly.
